About Tracie
Tracie Heskett began her career in the classroom, teaching multiple grades in public and private schools. Since then, her role in the field of education has grown to include author, presenter, and resource developer.
For over a decade, Tracie has worked with Teacher Created Resources (TCR), developing and writing resource books. Her work has covered 6 Trait Writing, Nonfiction Reading Comprehension, Writing Skills, Environmental Studies, Math, and Technology. In addition, Tracie has written leveled reading passages, teacher and student edition units in language arts skills, English Language Learner materials, and test practice for TCR and other national education publishers. She has further shared her knowledge in these areas by presenting workshops at writing conferences and teaching faculty in-service sessions.
Tracie holds a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and she maintains a K–8 teaching credential. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and twin sons. Her hobbies include walking, writing, reading, quilting, and spending time with her husband.
